1. Backgrounds
- The K value of the system is calculated using a special AMINE thermodynamic data package. This package of PRO/II contains K values for CO2, H2S, H2O and MEA components.
🔙
2. Objective
A sour natural gas feed containing 1.37 and 1.70 mole percent CO2 and H2S respectively is to be sweetened. Design an amine treatment facility designed to lower the acid gas concentration of 100 MMSCFD to 5 ppm or less.

3. Simulation
3.1 Units of Measure (00:00 ~ 00:05)
- Click "Units Of Measure" to view the AVEVA PRO/II Simulation - Default Units of Measure for Problem Data Input dialog box.
- Click "Initialize from UOM Library"
- Select ENGLISH-SET1 to use SI unit.
- Change "Liquid Volume" Foot^3 to U. S. gallon.
🔙
3.2 Component Selection (00:06 ~ 00:33)
- Click "Component Selection" to view the AVEVA PRO/II Simulation - Component Selection dialog box.
- Input CO2, H2S, C1, C2, C3, IC4, NC4, IC5, NC5, NC6, NC7, H2O, MEA and AIR in the "Component" and click "Add", respectively.
